The European control room

One market is a read. A continent is a control room.

What it is

The cross-market layer. The same seven behavioural families across eleven European markets, on one comparable footing, so you can see what is structural across the continent and what is specific to your market, and which way each market is moving.

How it's built

Every market is normalised to the same method: search baskets anchored to a stable local term, international brands de-meaned across markets so only the local residual remains, and origin from ISRC, citizenship and genre so "home-grown" means the same thing everywhere. A number in Spain reads like a number in Sweden.

What you get

  • The continental mood map, market by market.
  • The Four Europes: each market sorted into an archetype (Resilient, Two-speed, Blue, Imported-culture), and which way it is trending.

Revolut is rising across most markets, but local champions hold the line in some and cede ground in others: Bizum out-growing it in Spain, bunq in the Netherlands, while it gains on Poste in Italy and mBank in Poland.
