← Every signal. One read.
§ 11 · a section of the read
Methodology & receipts
Every figure names its source.
What it is
The appendix that is the product: every figure traced to a named public source and date, the method stated, and the predictive tests we ran, including the ones that failed.
How it's built
Five-to-seven behavioural families, position-weighted and year-on-year normalised, with international search de-meaned and origin from ISRC, citizenship and genre. Methods pre-registered; backtests published, including the failures.
What you get
- A named public source and date on every number.
- The method, stated plainly, with its limits.
- The four predictive tests we ran, and that they failed.
- Why Cadence is a read, not a forecast.
From the data
We pre-registered whether the music signal predicts demand and tested it four times. Every test failed, and we published each one. So Cadence is a descriptive read, not a forecast.
This is one section of a full Cadence read.
